Jim Rogers is an American investor and author best known for combining his financial acumen with record-breaking global exploration. After co-founding the highly successful Quantum Fund and retiring young, Rogers pursued his passion for adventure to gain a "ground-up" perspective on world economies. He holds Guinness World Records for two acclaimed overland journeys: from 1990 to 1992, he motorcycled over 100,000 miles across six continents, a feat chronicled in his book Investment Biker; and from 1999 to 2002, he undertook the "Millennium Adventure," driving a custom Mercedes-Benz more than 245,000 kilometers through 116 countries, which he detailed in Adventure Capitalist.
