Anne Marie Wells is an award-winning poet, playwright, memoirist, and oral storyteller. She is the author of Survived By: A Memoir in Verse + Other Poems (Curious Corvid Publishing, 2023) which went viral on TikTok and landed her book in the Top 10 Amazon poetry collections. She is also the author of Mother, (v) which was the winner of the 2023 Cinnamon Press Chapbook Contest and debuted in 2024. Her children’s book, Mommy, Why Am I a Bird? (Imprensa Universidade de Coimbra, 2015) was featured on Wyoming PBS’s Story Time with Wyoming Authors series. Her current work-in-progres, Happy Iceland: A Travel Memoir, was a finalist for the 2022 Wild Dog Press Travel Book Contest and is currently seeking representation.

She is the founder of The Joy of Poeting, a weekly live show and emerging brand. She is a certified listener poet through the Good Listening Project and earned a certificate in social emotional arts through UCLArts & Healing. She is the content and copy editor for Mama’s Kitchen Press and Alegria Publishing and works as a freelance copy editor, ghostwriter, grant writer, and creative writing instructor.
